The morning cool, and crisp, the pines tall and plentiful, as is the bobwhite quail, the grass tall, but nothing compares to being able to watch true champions do what they were born to do. The quail dog is one of the true beauties of the field. A sportsman's true reason to brag that he has the best dog in the woods. Those who have had the privilege to hunt quail in the 60's when they were everywhere, still feel the same excitement now when a covey gets up out of the grass!!. When two great dogs work in tandem, honoring the other's point , it is truly awesome , just as good as seeing a full covey get up through the pines!

My father Hall of Fame/ Highwayman artist "Robert Butler", was the main influence in my desire to become an artist. I remember fondly the family outings we all [11 of us], enjoyed so much. Hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking were activities we looked forward to after school.
